ITPS A. Ethical Use of Technology

You will take an online examination dealing with the ethical use of instructional technology. The examination consists of 30 questions and deals with the application of ethical principles to real life situations.

Through information provided, you will be introduced to usual and ordinary ethical standards associated with the use of instructional technology during required coursework. This includes such things as intellectual property rights, international copyright, university policies, and Internet etiquette. You will have free and complete access to a number of Internet resources.

Take a practice test that provides immediate feedback.

Assessment

  • Go to the ITPS Examination Web page.
  • Enter your user name and password:
    • user name: your ULID
    • password: the one you use to check your Illinois State email
  • Click on the test you would like to take.
  • Do not close your browser while taking a test as you may lose any answers you have selected.

NOTE: If you are using the proper login name and password but still cannot access the examination, your login name and password might not be in our database.

Passing Criterion

A score of 90% (27 correct out of 30) or above is required to pass this examination. You will have only 10 opportunities to pass this examination. A new test is generated each time. Remember to log off when you have finished.

You will only get 10 attempts to pass this assessment.  Candidates that fail to pass this assessment in 10 attempts, will no longer be allowed to continue in the teacher education program at ISU.
