Advising

When you become a teacher education major at Illinois State University, you will begin your first year by taking a majority of classes in general education. Your academic advisor as a freshman student will be housed in University College.

Prior to registering for your sophomore year classes, you should contact the advisor in your teacher education program area.

• Curriculum and Instruction majors

• Special Education majors

• Secondary and K-12 majors: Your advisor is located in the department housing the subject area you would like to teach.
